The causes of housing emergencies can be diverse: homelessness, threatening situations, but also during the time after release from prison or after a hospital stay, finding housing often proves difficult.
Our emergency room offer is primarily aimed at women. In special cases of short-term homelessness, there is the possibility for women, couples, or families to obtain a room at hotel marta.
Room for women in need
Women in emergency situations or transitional periods can find rest and recharge their batteries at Josephine's Guesthouse for Women.
In cooperation with public authorities, up to 10 rooms are reserved for stays of up to a maximum of six months. Availability can be inquired about directly at the guesthouse.
Short-term homelessness
At hotel marta, in special cases, we offer rooms for a few days to women, couples, and families so that they can find peace in emergency situations and coordinate their next steps.
These emergency rooms are allocated exclusively through referral by the Social Services Department of the City of Zurich.
